In terms of inspiration, Gerard Mapstone is a exceptional flamenco guitarist, but is not from Andalucía. Instead, he came to guitar at an early age, inspired by seeing Serranito, one of the flamenco masters who happened to be visiting Australia. Now based in Melbourne, Mapstone is one of Australia’s leading classical and flamenco guitarists.
