The MCM New Music studio and Grainger Museum present a full afternoon’s program of events, including 2 concerts of works by Keith Humble, Ian Bonighton and others associated with the Grainger Electronic Music Studio.
Works for percussion, brass, organ, guitar and synthesizer will feature a range of staff and student performers from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music alongside special guests. In between concerts, attendees will also have the opportunity to peruse the exhibition and attend a panel discussion featuring some of the original artists associated with the music’s creation.
1:00pm: Concert 1, Melba Hall
2:00pm - 4:00pm: Museum tour and discussion
4:00pm - 5:00pm: Concert 2, Melba Hall, followed by drinks in Tallis Wing
Free event but bookings are essential through Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
This public program is part of our latest exhibition Synthesizers: Sound of the Future running from 20 April 2018 until 9 September 2018.
