Instrument of Change Curator's Floortalk

Join curators Assoc Prof Michael Christoforidis and Mr Ken Murray for a floor talk on the exhibition Instrument of Change: Visions of the Guitar in the Early Twentieth Century. The exhibition traces journeys of the acoustic guitar and other fretted instruments as they rose to prominence—both globally and locally—from the 1890s to the 1940s. The curators will discuss how the evolution of the guitar is illustrated by the 27 fretted instruments on display, alongside prints, scores, photographs and works by leading Australian artists such as Tom Roberts, Lionel Lindsay, Russell Drysdale and Max Dupain.

Bookings required via Eventbrite.
